Pigtails & Crewcuts Chattanooga-Northshore salon is now open for business. The new salon is located at 205 Manufacturers Road near Renaissance and Coolidge Parks and Whole Foods Market and is the second Chattanooga location for the Atlanta-based franchise. The franchise also has salons in Germantown and Knoxville.
Pigtails & Crewcuts has over 50 children’s hair salons across the country, offering children and families a fun and exciting approach to haircuts. The new Chattanooga-Northshore salon will offer the same delightful experience found at other Pigtails & Crewcuts locations, including whimsical, vehicle-shaped chairs, bright colors, and a variety of books, movies, toys, and video games to enjoy before, during, and after the haircut. The salon also features a retail section filled with children’s hair products, accessories, and gifts and offers birthday party services as well.
The Chattanooga-Northshore location is owned by Sharon Hogan and Kelly Hailey, who also own the Pigtails & Crewcuts salon on East Brainerd Road. Hailey says the decision to open their first Pigtails & Crewcuts salon came from her experience with her son’s fear of haircuts five years ago.
“He cried and it was hard to find a place where we could get his haircut here in town where he wasn’t afraid. We started going to a Pigtails & Crewcuts in Georgia and realized that we probably weren’t the only family in Chattanooga with a child that struggled with haircuts, so we decided to bring the experience here,” she says.
Hailey says the decision to open a second salon came very easily and that she is excited to reach a new part of the Chattanooga community.
“We are excited to be downtown and serve more kids. The Northshore salon is in a very family-friendly area. It’s within walking distance of parks, and there is an ice cream store next door and a coffee shop nearby. It’s a really cool location that families will love exploring,” she adds. “It’s a fun place for all kids to get haircuts and we can’t wait to meet our new customers.”
