1. Why did you decide to become a Hair Stylist?
“It’s something I always loved to do. Seeing people’s happiness and amazement at their look and how they walk away feeling extra confident makes me happy.”
2. Where did you recieve your Cosmetology training, and how many years of experience do you have?
“I have received training in multiple places throughout the years, but I received my license from Beauty Schools of America in Miami, FL. I have 19 years of experience.”
3. What do you love most about working at Pigtails and Crewcuts?
“I love the staff. the atmosphere, and the owners.”
4. Getting a haircut can be a frightening experience for a child. What are some methods you use for calming them down and gaining their trust?
“First letting them know that it’s ok to be scared or cry if they need to. I also offer them a toy, a favorite show to watch, or a treat.”
5. What are some of your favorite products to work with at Pigtails and Crewcuts?
“Glop & Glam detangler, which works well with all hair types and smells amazing. Surf’s Up Hair Texturizing wax is also a great product.”
6. What advice would you give to others who want to become a hair stylist?
“Make sure you love what you do, and never stop learning.”
