Google it, and you’ll find a whole community of likeminded mom barf recipients. Think you’re the only person whose kids have decided to play “salon” on one another? Head to the Web and you’ll find countless others who have had to make “emergency” appointments with the closest stylist (we’re used to that at Pigtails & Crewcuts!). Started by one hilarious stay-at-home mom, Jill Smokler, ScaryMommy is now a full-on community of parental comedians, riffing on pregnancy, childbirth, babies, kids, relationship and just about anything else you can think of. The boards also offer a nice community to swap stories and advice.
Science of Parenthood
This illustrated humor blog applies scientific principals to raising kids. Like “Newton’s First Law of Parenting: A child at rest will remain at rest … until you need your iPad back.” The mom duo behind the site—Jessica Ziegler and Norine Dworkin—also recently collaborated on a series of books, “The Big Book of Parenting Tweets” and “The Bigger Book of Parenting Tweets,” highlighting favorite parenting quips from Twitter.

In addition to being a mom to four, Ann Marie throws herself into an array of DIY projects, and takes you along for the ride. Her creative adventures have been published in a number of magazines, including Better Homes and Gardens, Family Circle, More and others.
