July 5, 2018, Atlanta, GA — Pigtails & Crewcuts is coming to Miami. This will be the franchise’s third salon in Florida, with other locations in the Orlando area.
Pigtails & Crewcuts has over 50 children’s hair salons across the country, offering children and families a fun and exciting approach to haircuts. The Miami salon will offer the same delightful experience found at other Pigtails & Crewcuts locations, including whimsical, vehicle-shaped chairs, bright colors, and a variety of books, movies, toys, and video games to enjoy before, during, and after the haircut. The salon will also feature a retail section filled with children’s hair products, accessories, and gifts.
According to owners and friends Manuela Padua and Andy Gilon, the salon will offer local families a more convenient place for children’s haircuts. “My husband and I moved to the neighborhood in 2011, since then we’ve had two children and now lots of friends with kids around the same age. The closest salon for kids was a long drive for us. We thought opening a children’s hair salon closer to home would be a great idea,” Manuela shares.
Andy adds “Miami is growing with many families with young children moving to the area. I was surprised that there weren’t more services catering to families. It was frustrating to drive almost 40 minutes for a good haircut for our children.”
The friends realized there was an opportunity to meet a need in their community and started looking for a way to solve the problem. They knew they wanted to partner with someone that knew the business, and their search led them to Pigtails & Crewcuts.
“We fell in love with the concept, the team, everything,” Manuela and Andy share. “It’s been a long process, but definitely worth it! We are excited to provide parents with a nice place for their kids to receive a great service and experience.”
Andy adds that more locations are in the plans for the Miami area. “It’s a good community for Pigtails & Crewcuts. There are lots of schools in the area and many young families are moving here, so we have a great opportunity to really build the Pigtails & Crewcuts brand in Miami.”
