An Atlanta-based children’s hair salon franchise recently opened its first location in Alabama.
Pigtails & Crewcuts opened in early January at 700 Montgomery Highway, Suite 120 in the Vestavia City Center.
The store is owned by Jennifer Murray, a mother of two boys, who made the switch from working as a data analyst to entrepreneur to get more flexibility for family time.
“Children’s haircuts can often be challenging, but certainly don’t have to be, so we are excited to bring the Pigtails & Crewcuts haircutting experience to central Alabama,” Murray said. “The salon’s mission and experience align perfectly with the family-friendliness and hospitality of the great Birmingham community, and I’m certain kids and parents alike will love what we have to offer.”
Each Pigtails & Crewcuts salon is brightly colored, with movies, a Nintendo Switch gaming system, books and toys. In addition to traditional haircuts, Pigtails & Crewcuts offers first haircut packages, birthday parties and ear piercing.
