Holiday Sparkle

What You’ll Need

  • Hair gel
  • A comb or a brush
  • Bobby pins
  • Hair gems
  • Curl cream and/or fizz cream
  • Hairspray
  • Curling iron or wand (Optional)
  1. Get the Style Started – Start by detangling your child’s hair and parting it to your liking, in a middle or side part. Once you’re happy with the part, section off the back half of your child’s head and secure it to help keep it out of the way.

  2. Slick Back the Front – Slick back the left front section of their hair using gel to keep the hair in place. Smooth it out with a comb or brush to keep it as flat as possible. Once it’s smoothed to your liking, twist the hair back, starting near the ear and secure with bobby pins behind the ear. Repeat on the other side.

  3. Style the Back – Let the back section of your child’s hair down. For a heat-free style, take your favorite curl cream or anti-frizz cream and run it through the lengths of your child’s hair to keep it looking sleek. For a more curly look, take your curling iron or wand and curl your child’s hair.

  4. Sparkle the Day Away – To finish off the look, take hair gems and place them along the slicked back portion to your liking. Seal the look with some hairspray, and your kiddo is ready to sparkle this holiday season!

Holly Jolly Pigtails

What You’ll Need

  • Hair elastics
  • Bubble Hair elastics
  • Two bows
  1. Section Off and Secure! – Begin by sectioning your child’s hair down the middle. Secure the left side to keep it out of the way. Section your child’s hair horizontally into 4 equal sections and secure each section with a hair elastic.

Repeat on the other side. You should end up with 8 equal sections across your child’s head. Add bubble hair elastics to each section to add some extra flair and style.

  2. Connect the Sections – Taking the first section at the top, split the ponytail into two equal sections. Wrap it around the hair elastic of the second section below it and cross it under. Take the second section, split the ponytail into two equal sections, incorporating the hair from the previous section, and wrap it around the hair elastic of the third section. Repeat until you reach the last section of hair on one side.

Once you reach the bottom section, secure the hair with a hair elastic. Repeat on the other side. It should almost look like the hair flows into the next section.

  3. Gift Wrap Your Style – Once you’re happy with your look, take two bows and clip them to the bottom of each ponytail. Your festive style is now complete!

Frosty Locks

What You’ll Need

  • Hair gel
  • White temporary hair color spray
  • White, blue, and/or silver hair glitter (Optional)
  1. Style the Hair – Shape and style the hair to your liking. For some extra texture, try aiming for a spiky style.

  2. Make it Frosty – Once you’re happy with the shape, spray the tips of your child’s hair with white temporary hair color spray. If you’re feeling adventurous, spray all of their hair!

Optional: For a look that looks really frosted, sprinkle in some hair glitter!
